This just in: The tour features the Original Flecktones with Howard Levy, their first tour in 20 years.

It’s Jannus Live’s distinct honor to present on its stage a man who is widely regarded as the best banjo player in the world, Bela Fleck. Over the course of three decades, the New York City native has revolutionized theinstrument, freeing it from stylistic constraints and putting the lie to the notion that the banjo is just for hill folk to pick on front porches. Fleck has put his magic hands and melodic sensibilities to work on bluegrass, jazz, pop, funk, classical, world music and more.

With his band The Flecktones, he is surrounded by musicians as highly regarded as himself, especially bassist Victor Wooten, who is also regarded as one of the best on the planet at his chosen axe.
