Jam Out for a Great Cause this Saturday

The Jannus Live courtyard has been the setting for countless memorable events, from fantastic local and touring acts putting on unforgettable shows, to exciting community social gatherings hosted by various organizations. This Saturday, September 1st, Jannus Live is proud to host a live music event benefitting The Suzanne Ciani Brain Cancer Foundation. Suzanne has been bravely fighting brain tumors since October of 2011 and the foundation is raising funds for her treatment at the Gerson Center in Mexico as well as help others who have had their lives impacted by brain cancer.

The Jannus Live stage will be featuring some remarkable talent in support of this cause. The headlining band, The Hip Abduction, has performed at Jannus many times before, never failing to perfectly deliver their unique upbeat melodies and rhythms to inspire and infuse the crowd with a high-energy, positive vibe. A blend of world, rock, soul, afro-beat, and reggae – just to name a few, The Hip Abduction’s style features tight drumming coupled with a strong melodic groove structure at the core of each tune. Spiritual Rez, known for their high energy reggae horn dance parties, along with local acts Tahoe Fox and Automatic Heat will be gracing the stage before The Hip Abduction.

Doors are at 6pm with tickets $10 in advance and $15 at the door, proceeds benefiting the foundation. Please come enjoy the music and show your support. Your involvement in this event means giving Suzanne and other like her hope and immense help in their fight against brain cancer.

We’ll see you on Saturday!
