Wanna be part of a crowd that’s extra amped because the concert is being video’d for TV?
This coming Friday and Saturday nights, Jannus Live will go beyond presenting concerts by Pepper and Papa Roach.
The shows will be recorded in high definition by a world-class production crew headed by Chris Wilson, long-time reality TV producer and creator of the Pitchman series.
The Pepper (Friday) and Papa Roach (Saturday) video shoots will become the first content to be shown on Jannus Live TV, an on-demand channel set to roll out on Brighthouse Cable in the coming months.
Wilson and his crew, along with executive producer Jeff Knight and the Jannus Live staff, aim to bring a fresh take on long-form music video by incorporating candid, reality-style footage of the bands, crew and staff in the hours leading up to and after the show, as well as interview segments and, of course, the artist’s performances. “We intend to capture the building energy as it all comes to life,” Wilson said. “And the concert footage will be absolutely first-class.”
Wilson is a St. Petersburg native who relocated to Los Angeles in 1999. Besides his extensive work in reality TV, he has considerable credits in the music video world.
The four-to-five camera shoot will bring an added element of excitement to Jannus Live’s kickoff to a busy October. The Pepper and Papa Roach camps are fully on board and excited to be the debut bands in the project. Tickets for both shows have been brisk and Jannus Live is expecting packed houses, adding to the overall energy of this innovative endeavor.
