Slightly Stoopid boasts such a strong track record on Tampa Bay area stages that they’ll play on two consecutive nights

at Jannus Live. The Ocean Beach, San Diego band hails from that proud Cali heritage of white-boy reggae-rock, mixing in dub, loopy sampledelic pop, hip-hop influence, sunny marijuana affirmations, and the occasional return to raucous skatepunk.

The band is most at home on stage, showing their tendency to jam for nearly two hours, focusing on improvisation and crowd interaction.

Making this two-night stand an extremely potent bill is the inclusion of Fishbone. Formed in Los Angeles in 1979, the band was among the first to mash together ska, punk, funk, metal and just about anything they else they could lay their hands on. Their reputation as a hotwired live act has never waned.

This promises be two nights of good stupid fun.
