One of the founding fathers of England’s “2-tone” second-wave ska revival, The English Beat have been going strong for 32 years. Lead singer/guitarist and founder Dave Wakeling leads a band that hums like a Porsche Turbo.

Originally called The Beat, the band came together in the rough-and-tumble industrial town of Birmingham, England, a racially mixed group influenced by Jamaican ska, reggae and British punk. The English Beat is a conglomeration of hard-working road dogs who play every gig as if it is there last. Come get your skank on.

The English Beat headline a multi-hour ska fest, billed as Old Skool vs. Nu Skool. Also performing: legendary Tampa Bay outfit Magadog, Chris MurrayParanoia Dance Party, and One Way!

Gates open at 6. Music starts at 7.

I got my “FREE” tickets last night on Ticketmaster. After all the rape charges the “FREE” Tickets came out to $4.50 for 2 tickets. Cheap, but not free.

vlad 11:46 pm - 24th August:

Just tried to obtain a “free” ticket.
Ticketmaster wanted $3 plus the disclosed $.75.
I guess I am not complaining about the price, it’s the delivery method. I am surprised you are not being hit for a discrimination suit, based on the price disparity for under 21, and 21+.
Anyway, I am glad you are starting to bring in music, are they gonna show like Sean Paul?
Peace

Steve…
The bands starting set times are as follows:
One Way! @ 6:30 – Paranoia Dance Party @ 7:15 – Magadog @ 8pm – Chris Murray @ 9pm – English Beat @ 9:45

Tony…
The Show is FREE for 21+ and you opted to purchase a Hard Ticket @ Ticketmaster and they do have some low end fees for a Free show…but this GUARANTEES you get in!
And for the $2.25 you paid TM for one of your Tickets equates to “45 cents a band”! GREAT DEAL is say!

Vlad…
Si si you also paid for TM’s delivery methods NOT for this show. But to address your discrimination comment please know I was the one who convinced everyone we do $10 for under 21.
This show WAS to be 21+ ONLY! I addressed all the positive points to “All Ages” being Welcome for this show and won out. “Hurrah!!!”
Please don’t sue me!! and YES they are gonna show!
In fact there coming in right after the Orlando show.
Peace
