The St. Pete Summer Swagger

Friday, July 30

Mighty Mongo

Free Admission

Three eclectic Bay area bands — Offshore Riot, Shakemode and Mighty Mongo — bring the heat for a FREE Friday night blowout that we’ve dubbed the St. Pete Summer Swagger.

The concert also happens to be the %#th birthday party for Jannus Live General Manager and downtown roustabout Tony Marzano.

All three bands get high marks for fun. They blend various degrees of rock, reggae, ska and funk and feature danceable grooves. Mighty Mongo will have just come off a guest slot on the Warped Tour.

Offshore Riot

They’ll be joined by DJ Verse, a regular courtyard presence who’ll whip up the between-set festivities.

Check out these drink specials: $3 domestic drafts, $4 bomb shots, $5 Bacardi mojitos, $5 Jose Cuervo Margaritas.

Shakemode

Doors open at 6 p.m., Live music starts at 7.

The St. Pete Summer Swagger is co-sponsored by Foolish Pride and Reno Beach Surf Shop.

Shakemode is awesome! Their live shows are FUN. I saw them at Neptune’s last year and Ritz Ybor Battle of the bands last week. One day you will tell your children and grandchildren how you saw them before they were BIG!!! Do not miss this show!
